This is intersting as it was whilst i was doing a quest for Launosse that Isabella snuk an army past me and captured Wandrugh in my last failed game. Turn 20: Launosse announces a quest to kill some giants. Only the independants have been wandering about aimlessly. Up to now I've not seen a single AI unit move.

There is no way they would be aware of Wandrugh's change of alignment, especially as I sank their only scouting fleet in the area.

So, now we shall see if my theory is correct and Isabella's army will magically jump into life and home in on it. Turn 19: Wandrugh joins my Empire and becomes my throne city.
